Ultramundo is a singular mezcal made entirely from wild Maguey Lamparillo harvested across the vast Pelayo Ranch in Mapimi, Durango, within the legendary Zona del Silencio. The agave is roasted for three days in an underground volcanic-stone pit fired with mesquite and pine, then fermented with wild ambient yeast in open oak-lined wells. The result is an intensely mineral, otherworldly expression of a rarely bottled wild agave from one of Mexico's most remote and mythic landscapes.
