🏷️California
California grew more premium fruit than it could sell, and small independent labels are bottling the overflow at a fraction of the old price. An eleven-dollar Zinfandel, a Napa Sauvignon Blanc, a négociant Cabernet and Carneros Pinot Noir — the same vineyards as bottles at three times the money, without the famous name on the front.

Nothing in here is filler. Each one was picked by the people who stock our shelves, for a reason you can taste.

Eleven dollars. The name is a joke about exactly what this case is — good fruit, borrowed cheaply. It drinks like a twenty-dollar Zin.

A négociant Cabernet from Josh Phelps, built out of fruit grown for far dearer bottles. Structured enough for a steak without the Napa surcharge.

Jed Steele has been buying Carneros fruit for decades under his own small label. Bay fog keeps the acidity in, and this is the deepest-stocked red we carry.
Hand-picked from what's on our shelves right now. If something sells through we swap in an equal-or-better bottle and tell you before it ships.

For the last few years California has harvested more premium grapes than the market could absorb at premium prices. Fruit contracted to well-known estates has ended up surplus, and a wave of négociant brands has appeared to buy it and bottle it under new names.
The wine in those bottles is not a downgrade. It is frequently the same fruit, from the same blocks, vinified by the same people — sold without the marketing budget, the estate name, or the twenty-year price expectation attached to it.
That's the whole argument for this case. Four labels most people have never seen, from vineyards most people have. It is the cheapest way to drink genuinely good Californian wine right now, and it won't last forever — the surplus is already tightening.
No mystery discount. Here's exactly what each item costs on our shelf today, and what the bundle costs instead.
The hard part of a bottle shop is the wall of labels. This is one decision instead of four, made by people who taste this stuff for a living.
Every bundle is priced under the sum of its bottles at today's shelf price. The receipt on the left is the whole argument.
A single bottle is a nice gesture. A themed set with the story of each bottle is a present — and it arrives ready to hand over.
Local delivery or in-store pickup, all of it in one box. Someone 21+ signs once and you're done.
Pour all four for friends and ask them to guess the prices. Nobody gets the Zinfandel right.
The whole point of négociant wine, demonstrated in ten minutes. No oak to fight the bird. Crab and corn work just as well.
Fifteen minutes out of the fridge, not straight from it.Jammy fruit and black pepper against char. Burgers, ribs, a Tuesday.
Serve it slightly cool — Zin gets hot and sweet when it's warm.Bay fog keeps the acidity in. Salmon, duck, mushroom risotto.

Yes. You must be 21 or older to buy, and an adult signature (21+) is required at delivery.
Bundles are built from live shelf stock, so the page will stop you before that happens. If something sells through between your order and packing, we substitute an equal-or-better bottle from the same country or category and email you first — or refund that portion if you'd rather.
Tell us in the order notes and we'll do our best. The bundle price is built around the specific lineup, so a swap needs to be a like-for-like from the same country or category.
Yes — check out to your recipient's address inside our delivery area. Whoever accepts the delivery has to be 21+ with ID. Add a note at checkout and we'll include a card.
No. Bundles are a one-time purchase. If you want a new one every month, that's what the Wine Club and the Craft Bartending Kit club are for.
