RD One honors Lexington's Ashland Distillery, which in 1865 became the first federally registered distillery in the city and earned the designation RD#1. This small batch Kentucky straight bourbon is built on a 70% corn, 21% rye, 9% malted barley mash bill using local corn and limestone well water. A creamy midpoint gives way to yellow cake, vanilla, and light brown sugar before gentle rye spice and dry oak round things out, a tidy balance of sweet and spice. A Double Gold winner at the 2023 SIP Awards.
