The High Note is the signature Pinot Noir of Misha's Vineyard, named in tribute to founder Misha Wilkinson's opera-singing mother, an operatic theme that runs through the estate's wines. Grown on sun-drenched terraces overlooking Lake Dunstan in Central Otago, New Zealand's premier Pinot region, this cellar-aged 2009 reflects meticulous viticulture and cool-climate finesse. Aged in French oak and matured in bottle, it shows graceful development with dried cherry, forest floor, and spice over a silky, layered palate of red fruit, earthy complexity, and fine tannins. A beautifully evolved Pinot of real structure and balance.
