Tasting Notes
Chocolate, toasted grain, and oak spice with a hint of fruitcake.
Powerful yet composed, with layers of cocoa, malted rye spice, toasted oak, and subtle dried-fruit sweetness.
Long, bold, and warming, with rye spice and refined balance.
This is an exclusive Whiskey Library single barrel pick, Barrel 19-0507, from ASW Distillery's acclaimed Fiddler Resurgens Rye, the first whiskey ever distilled at the Atlanta house and the city's first rye since Prohibition. What sets it apart is the 100 percent malted rye mash bill, an unusual single malt approach distilled grain-in on Scottish-style copper pot stills. Aged just over six years in new charred American oak with a bourbon barrel finish, it pours at a bold cask strength with layers of chocolate, toasted grain, and warm spice.
