Sagamore Spirit reimagines its classic Maryland-style rye through a distinctive double-oaking process. After four to five years in high-char new American oak, the whiskey rests an additional 18 months in toasted wave-stave barrels whose low-char, medium-plus-toast staves add the signature caramel, toffee, hazelnut and toasted-coconut character. Proofed with limestone-filtered water from the distillery's 1909 spring house, it is a polished example of old meeting new from Baltimore's leading rye producer.
