What's in the bundle

Every bottle, and why it made the cut.

Nothing in here is filler. Each one was picked by the people who stock our shelves, for a reason you can taste.

The EverydayCruz Alta Reserve Malbec 2023 750ml

Cruz Alta Reserve Malbec 2023 750ml

$16.99 on its own

Seventeen dollars, and the bottle that proves you don't have to spend to drink well here. Ripe, unfussy, and the one that empties first at any table.

Tastes like
Blackberry, plum, cocoa, soft tannin.
Drink it with
Burgers, pizza, a Tuesday.
The GrowerSheehan Brothers Malbec 2020 750ml

Sheehan Brothers Malbec 2020 750ml

$19.99 on its own

A genuinely small-production bottle with five years behind it, which almost never happens at this price. The extra bottle age sands off the edges you notice in young Malbec.

Tastes like
Stewed plum, mocha, tobacco, a rounded finish.
Drink it with
Short ribs, mushrooms, aged cheese.
The Aged OnePhebus Mendoza Reserva Malbec 2019

Phebus Mendoza Reserva Malbec 2019

$18.99 on its own

Six years old and still cheap. A small Mendoza producer with none of the shelf presence of the big Argentine houses, and a wine that shows exactly what time does to the grape.

Tastes like
Dried plum, leather, sweet spice, soft resolved tannin.
Drink it with
Slow-cooked meat, hard cheese, cold weather.
The SplurgePiattelli Trinita Grand Reserve 2021 750ml

Piattelli Trinita Grand Reserve 2021 750ml

$37.99 on its own

A family estate in Cafayate, Salta — one of the highest wine regions on the planet. Altitude gives it a concentration and floral lift the Mendoza bottles don't have.

Tastes like
Black fruit, violet, dark chocolate, a long structured finish.
Drink it with
A ribeye, and nothing else.

Hand-picked from what's on our shelves right now. If something sells through we swap in an equal-or-better bottle and tell you before it ships.

One grape, a mile in the air.
The story

One grape, a mile in the air.

Malbec is a French grape. It came to Argentina in 1853, did badly in Bordeaux, and then quietly became something else entirely once it was planted three thousand feet up against the Andes.

Altitude is the whole story. Thin air means more ultraviolet light, which thickens the skins and concentrates colour and tannin. Cold nights hold on to acidity that a warm valley would burn off. And there is almost no rain — Mendoza gets around nine inches a year, so the vines drink snowmelt through channels the Incas were using long before anyone planted a vine.

Open these four side by side and you can taste the climb. That's the point of this case.

  • 3,000+ fttypical Mendoza vineyard altitude
  • 1853Malbec cuttings first carried over from France
  • ~9 inof rain a year — the vines drink Andean meltwater
The maths

Cheaper than the same bottles, one at a time.

No mystery discount. Here's exactly what each item costs on our shelf today, and what the bundle costs instead.

Someone already chose

The hard part of a bottle shop is the wall of labels. This is one decision instead of four, made by people who taste this stuff for a living.

It costs less than the parts

Every bundle is priced under the sum of its bottles at today's shelf price. The receipt on the left is the whole argument.

It gives well

A single bottle is a nice gesture. A themed set with the story of each bottle is a present — and it arrives ready to hand over.

One delivery, one signature

Local delivery or in-store pickup, all of it in one box. Someone 21+ signs once and you're done.

Put it to work

How to drink four Malbecs.

Do this first

The altitude tasting

Open all four, pour an inch of each, and go in the order on the cards. Same grape, four elevations — the difference is not subtle.

Four glasses each. The best two hours you'll get out of eighty dollars.
Tuesday

Cruz Alta and a burger

Ripe, unfussy, and the bottle that empties first at any table. No occasion required.

Also the one to cook with.
Off the fire

Altaland and chimichurri

Grilled steak, chimichurri, char. This is the pairing the whole country is built around.

Argentina eats more beef per head than almost anywhere. This is why.
The good night

Piattelli Trinita and a ribeye

From Cafayate in Salta, one of the highest wine regions on earth. Concentrated, floral, long.

Open it an hour early. Then nothing else.

Questions, answered.

How does delivery work?

We deliver locally and offer in-store pickup — the options you'll see at checkout depend on your address. As a New York package store we can't ship out of state, so delivery is limited to where we're licensed.

Do I have to be 21?

Yes. You must be 21 or older to buy, and an adult signature (21+) is required at delivery.

What if one of the bottles is out of stock?

Bundles are built from live shelf stock, so the page will stop you before that happens. If something sells through between your order and packing, we substitute an equal-or-better bottle from the same country or category and email you first — or refund that portion if you'd rather.

Can I swap a bottle?

Tell us in the order notes and we'll do our best. The bundle price is built around the specific lineup, so a swap needs to be a like-for-like from the same country or category.

Can I send it as a gift?

Yes — check out to your recipient's address inside our delivery area. Whoever accepts the delivery has to be 21+ with ID. Add a note at checkout and we'll include a card.

Is this a subscription?

No. Bundles are a one-time purchase. If you want a new one every month, that's what the Wine Club and the Craft Bartending Kit club are for.
