TD-9 takes its name from the vintage Caterpillar tractor that helped plant Shafer's early Stags Leap District vineyards, a nod to the family's hands-on history since 1978. This Napa Valley red blends Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Malbec for a polished, full-bodied wine. Dark berry, cherry compote, and espresso glide across fine-grained tannins, with mocha and graphite carrying a long, refined finish.
