Charles Krug is Napa Valley's oldest winery, founded in 1861 and run today by the Peter Mondavi family. This Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon draws on estate grown fruit, opening with cherry, cassis, and currant aromatics layered with brown butter, toffee, baking chocolate, toasted oak, peppercorn, and bay leaf. Medium bodied and silky, it offers baked berry and vanilla with beautifully integrated fruit, restrained oak, and an elegant, lingering finish.
