Chateau La Croix Cantenac is a small family estate owned by the Richard family on the eastern Saint Emilion plateau toward Puisseguin. This 2022 Grand Cru is a Merlot dominant blend from clay limestone and sandy gravel soils, aged eighteen months in oak with a portion of new barrels. The warm vintage shows in its generous black fruit, notes of dark cherry, truffle, and spice, all carried by a silky, elegant palate with structure from the Cabernet. A polished, age worthy Right Bank value.
